b.glen Tea Party
In April of 2024, b.glen Japan held a tea party with their social media followers. We invited 9 guests to the b.glen Japan headquarters for a special event centered around creating a comfortable and exciting space for our customers and followers to share their experiences with the brand and products.
Project Goals:
-
Host an in person event that excites the attendees, and creates an event for them to post on their own accounts to increase reach and awareness of the brand.
-
Receive in person feedback about the brand directly.
-
Connect the brand, brand personnel and customers to each other to foster a sense of community.
My Role:
After the initial ideation and pitch about the event, I was given full creative control over event, including ideation and brainstorming to execution, including the theme, participant recruitment, design, and content strategy. I owned the event from start to finish. My approach included:
-
Organizing and executing an open recruitment campaign through Instagram and X.
-
Creating a consistent visual theme that was used in recruitment posts, the event, and followup posts.
-
Transforming the office space into an "instagrammable" event setting that made guests want to show off and post to their followers.
-
Recruiting employees to represent the brand at the event, including the founder/president, vice president, customer support representative and marketing specialist.
Results:
Through the efforts illustrated above, I was able to successfully plan and execute the first b.glen Tea Party.
-
In the post event feedback questionnaire sent to our guests, we received an overall satisfaction score of 9.5/10.
-
8/9 guests posted on their personal accounts, reaching a total of 4000 new potential customers.
-
A 50% increase in reach and engagement in the followup posts as compared to non-event related posts.
-
Create a sense of community, demonstrated by the guests hosting their own get-togethers tied to the brand.
This event enabled us to gather valuable insights from customers, which was shared company wide and helped craft brand strategy for the future.
